An experienced pediatric dentist, avid golfer, and enthusiastic bass player, Dr. Tamara Robison could easily be a character from a children’s show. Alongside her is fellow pediatric dentist, basketball fanatic, and proud corgi dad, Dr. Brandon Millard. Together, their favorite thing to do is show our young patients that going to the dentist can be interesting and educational instead of scary. They can’t wait to welcome your little (or not so little) one into the cabana playhouse that is our office.
Meet the DentistsDr. Robison and Dr. Millard completed years of training at Nova Southeastern University and the University of Florida respectively, that were solely focused on meeting the unique dental needs of children. They know how to keep kids comfortable and can skillfully monitor their development from the crib to the graduation stage.
“My children love going to Beachside Smiles. The entire office staff is friendly and helpful. The hygienists are kind and gentle with the children. Dr. Robison is amazing. She explains every step of the procedure and has conversations with the children about their interests to comfort them. They encourage proper hygiene habits in a positive manner. My children look forward to their next visit.”
“Absolutely fantastic care for kids. The dentists and dental hygienists are incredibly patient and attentive. The facilities are great, and I can't recommend Beachside smiles enough.”
“From start to finish the staff here are incredible. All of the procedures were thoroughly explained, reviewed and communicated to us. The facility is kid friendly and clean. The doctors did an incredible job on our child’s tooth procedure and genuinely cared about the well-being of our child. I could not be any happier for the experience we had.”

We like spending time with kids so much that we even do it outside of our office. We frequently host parties and movie nights for local families because we love building connections and putting smiles on people’s faces whether or not they are our patients.

If your child has a life-threatening dental emergency, you should call 911 right away. However, if your child has pretty much any other type of dental emergency, you should give us a call. This way, you can talk to one of our friendly team members to let them know what’s going on and get your child scheduled for our next opening. We will always so everything we can to see our emergency patients as soon as we can. If your child isn’t already attending regular cleanings and checkups, this is the perfect time to get on track.
It is best for kids to start seeing their dentist early. The recommendation is for children to see their dentist by the time they turn 12 months old or when their first tooth erupts. Your child’s first visit will include discussing various topics, including baby bottle tooth decay and how to properly clean your child’s mouth. If you have any specific concerns about your child’s smile, don’t hesitate to let us know.
There are a variety of factors to consider when choosing a pediatric dentist for your family. First, it is important to consider the financial needs of your family. Consider whether the provider accepts your family’s insurance and their other payment options. Location is also an important factor. Lastly, you want to ensure that the practice in question offers all of the services that your child needs. This includes cleanings and checkups, emergency care, and special needs dentistry. You want to choose a dentist who best suits your family’s needs.
All dentists in the United States must have received either a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS) degree from one of the 67 accredited dental schools in the United States. To get accepted into dental school, one requires a bachelor’s degree. Dental school takes three years with a combination of classroom and hands-on learning. Dentists can continue their education by earning 1 of 12 specializations recognized by the American Dental Association, including pediatric dentistry. These require an additional three or more years of training. To keep their license, dentists must complete a certain number of continuing education hours a year.
